Over the last few years, South American Superfoods like Chia Seeds and Quinoa have made it to mainstream audiences. Maca Root is no exception – it is widely available in a power form that can be added to smoothies, yogurt, or mixed into milk for a malty drink. Although Maca’s popularity has been increasing, most people are unaware of its benefits. This is what makes Maca a true superfood.

Maca Powder has a pleasant slightly sweet and slightly malty flavour. It tastes good when mixed with water, but milk/coconut milk/yogurt bring out the natural sweetness.

Ingredients:

3 tsp Maca Powder

1 to 3 tbsp Chia Seeds

1/4 tsp Cocoa Powder

Glass of Milk

(Honey, Optional)

Mix everything together and enjoy it immediately. The Maca Powder provides some sweetness, but honey or other preferred sweeteners can be added.
