If you are looking for a healthy breakfast or snack, try a Hearty Quinoa Bowl. Thank you Ashley, our CleanWorkout.com contributor and busy mom, for the recipe! This is certainly a dish that both you and your kids can enjoy!
What you need:
1/3 cup Cooked Quinoa
1/2 Banana, Sliced
2 tbsp Toasted Almonds
1/2 tsp Hemp Hearts
1/4 cup Canned Coconut Milk
2 tbsp Raisins
Dash of Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Organic Honey
1/4 tsp Ground Flax
- Start with a base of cooked quinoa and add your preferred toppings like nuts, fruit, sweeteners and spices.
- Enjoy!
Tip: Fall is around the corner and it is bringing all of its warm, comforting flavours and spices. Try a Pumpkin Spice Quinoa Bowl by adding a pinch of nutmeg, ground ginger, allspice and clove on top. For even more fall flair, add chunks of roasted or steamed pumpkin. It is great source of vitamin C and flushes out your kidneys!
